Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Liverpool)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Reception to Year 6 in South Liverpool primary schools. The role involves working one‑to‑one, in small groups and within the wider classroom to help children achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Help create an inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with teachers.
• Support pupils with special educational needs and behavioural challenges.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children in a school or support setting.
• Confident, enthusiastic and able to engage pupils in learning.
• Willingness to work with children from Reception through Year 6.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential.
