Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Widnes & Runcorn)

About the role

Join a supportive network of primary schools in Widnes and Runcorn as a Teaching Assistant. You will help deliver high‑quality education to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, providing both classroom support and one‑to‑one assistance where needed.

Key responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND.
• Assist with intervention and remedial work to reinforce learning.
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Cover short‑term or supply placements as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or youth setting.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Ability to provide professional references and complete an Enhanced DBS check if required.
