Teaching Assistant – Primary & Secondary Support

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across schools in the Winchester area. You will work directly in classrooms, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to help children stay engaged, confident and focused throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Support teachers by delivering classroom activities and preparing resources.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils who need additional guidance.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and encourage inclusive routines.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people (e.g., childcare, youth work, coaching).
• Patient, supportive and confident in a classroom environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Adaptable, reliable and proactive.
• Graduates seeking school experience are welcome.
