Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate) – Bristol Schools

About the role

Hanson Recruitment is seeking psychology students and recent graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Bristol. The position is temporary, full‑time during term‑time, offering flexible days that can be adjusted week by week to fit your study schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to individual pupils and assist the whole class.
• Help pupils progress academically and develop socially‑emotional skills.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with behaviour management and follow all safeguarding, health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children (ideally in a sports or similar setting).
• Psychology degree or equivalent qualification, or currently studying towards one.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Availability to work 08:30‑15:30 on weekdays during term‑time.
