About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a secondary school in Tameside. The role involves working closely with teachers and students to enhance learning outcomes in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide targeted support to small groups and individual pupils.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive atmosphere.
- Support students with special educational needs to access the curriculum.
- Carry out general administrative and classroom tasks as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
- Good understanding of the secondary curriculum and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting learners.
