About the role
This position supports pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school on the Wirral. You will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to help students with autism, speech and language difficulties, or other learning barriers access the curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to SEN pupils throughout the school day.
- Assist in maintaining classroom routines and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN coordinators and other support staff.
- Help adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil needs.
Required profile
- Patience, proactivity and confidence in building positive relationships with pupils.
- Experience as a teaching assistant or in care/support roles.
- Passion for inclusive education within a mainstream secondary school.
