Teaching Assistant – SEN Primary (ASD) – Camden

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN primary school in the London Borough of Camden. You will work directly with primary‑aged pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supporting their learning and development both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting materials for ASD pupils.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help students achieve individual learning targets.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and adjust strategies.
• Promote communication skills and social interaction through tailored activities.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and student outcomes.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Commitment to a full‑time, long‑term position.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance on the update service.
