About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a vibrant school serving both primary and secondary ages in Burgess Hill. The role involves one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance, helping students access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their individual goals in an inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to SEN pupils.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Help pupils access learning materials and adapt tasks as needed.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and share feedback with staff.
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation.
Required profile
- Minimum of one year experience in an SEN support setting.
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
