About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting in Oldham. You will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored interventions that promote independence, confidence and progress for each learner.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support to SEND pupils within the classroom.
- Implement individualized learning plans and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists and parents to adapt resources and strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour and foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation, marking and administrative tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience working with SEND children in a primary school.
- Patient, empathetic and dedicated to inclusive education.
