Teaching Assistant – September start (Full‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic, patient individuals to join a primary‑age specialist provision as Teaching Assistants starting in September 2026. No prior school experience is required – full training and on‑the‑job support will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Support children aged 4–11 with additional learning needs, developmental delays, or SEMH challenges.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group assistance across a range of subjects.
• Help pupils develop literacy, numeracy, communication, and social‑emotional skills.
• Encourage positive routines, independence, and confidence.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Graduates from any subject area or career changers.
• Individuals with experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, care, sports coaching, youth work, support work, or administration.
• Kind, patient, and motivated to help children thrive.

• Good communication and people skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a caring approach.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliability, strong work ethic, and confidence interacting with children.
