Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role
We are looking for a Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Preston from September 2026. The role offers flexible assignments that match your experience and preferences, supporting both whole‑class activities and targeted support for pupils with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with resource preparation, lesson set‑up and classroom tidying.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce reading, writing and other curriculum areas.
- Monitor attendance, manage break times and support pupils during school trips.
- Provide one‑to‑one guidance for children with special needs and help mark work.
- Report progress, attend staff meetings and support unwell pupils.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people in a primary setting.
- Strong classroom management and ability to handle challenging behaviour.
- Positive attitude, good communication and confidence in motivating children.
- TA qualification (Level 2 or 3).
