About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support KS4 pupils with autism and moderate learning needs in a vibrant special educational needs school in Birmingham.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1‑2‑1 and small‑group academic support for SEND students.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure individual needs are met.
- Deliver tailored activities and interventions for whole‑class and individual settings.
- Break down communication barriers and implement behaviour‑management strategies.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Demonstrable experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly autism.
- Ability to work effectively on a 1‑2‑1 basis and within small groups.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, supportive attitude.
