Teaching Assistant – Sports Coach (Bristol)

About the role

Join a supportive team of educators as a Teaching Assistant, working with primary school children in Bristol. This role is ideal for sports coaches or recent graduates who want to combine their passion for sport with a rewarding educational environment, fitting around existing coaching or study commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Support teachers by preparing learning materials and adapting support to individual pupils.
• Look after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare and create an engaging, fun learning environment.
• Assist with classroom management and support extracurricular sports activities.

Required profile

• Passionate about working with children and able to fit the role around existing sports coaching or study commitments.
• Flexible and reliable, able to work Monday‑Friday 8:30‑15:30 with a half‑hour lunch break.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and creativity in delivering lessons.

Required skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organise and adapt teaching resources.
• Basic IT literacy for preparing digital learning materials.
