Teaching Assistant – Sports Enthusiast for Year 3 (Haringey)

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Teaching Assistant with a passion for sport to join a friendly Year 3 class in a primary school in Haringey. You will help create an active, engaging learning environment while providing occasional one‑to‑one support for a pupil with autism.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Year 3 class with daily learning activities.
• Provide occasional one‑to‑one assistance for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement through an active, sports‑inspired approach.
• Facilitate small‑group activities that reinforce classroom concepts.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SEND team.
• Assist pupils in developing academically and socially.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic individual with a sporting background.
• Experience working with children via schools, coaching, camps or youth clubs.
• Calm, patient and proactive attitude.
• Interest in supporting children with additional needs.
• Team‑player who enjoys collaborative work.
