Teaching Assistant – Supply & Long‑Term Roles in South Liverpool

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for both short‑term supply placements and long‑term positions across primary and secondary schools in South Liverpool. The role offers flexible working during the summer term and the opportunity to secure a permanent post for the new academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group assistance to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEND).
• Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom organisation.
• Help monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to intervention plans.
• Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Experience (or interest) in SEN support, behaviour management, early years, literacy or numeracy intervention is a plus.
• Relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not mandatory.
