Teaching Assistant – Support SEND Students

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the brand‑new Bowersgate School in Wythenshawe. The role starts in September or October 2026 and focuses on supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils during lessons and activities.
• Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
• Help develop pupils’ abilities, confidence and self‑esteem.
• Monitor progress and report observations to senior staff.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and well‑resourced classroom environment.

Required profile

• Resilient and dedicated with a genuine passion for supporting SEND students.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
