Teaching Assistant – Supportive School in West London

About the role
Prospero Teaching is partnering with a welcoming school in West London (W10) to hire a Teaching Assistant starting September 2026. This position is ideal for recent graduates who want hands‑on classroom experience before embarking on a teaching career. You will work alongside experienced teachers in a supportive environment, helping to create a positive learning atmosphere for all pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils of varying abilities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a respectful environment.
- Support pupils with SEND where required.
- Prepare and organise learning resources under teacher guidance.
Required profile
- Recent graduate (2023 onward) with a genuine interest in education.
- Positive, patient and proactive attitude towards pupil support.
- Strong communication and basic behaviour‑management skills.
- Commitment to supporting students of all abilities.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is preferred.
