Teaching Assistant – Year 2 Maths, English & Phonics (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Haringey, London. The role starts in September 2026 and focuses on delivering targeted interventions in Maths, English and Phonics for Year 2 pupils who need extra support.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Maths intervention sessions for small groups of Year 2 pupils.
- Lead English intervention groups and support phonics development.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic and committed to supporting KS1 learners.
- Willingness to work full‑time, Monday to Friday.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Experience delivering interventions in Maths, English or Phonics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
