Teaching Assistant – Year 5 Interventions (Full‑time, London)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a KS2 team at a welcoming primary school in Haringey, North London. The role starts in September 2026 and focuses on delivering targeted Maths, English and Phonics interventions for Year 5 pupils who need extra support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured Maths intervention sessions.
• Lead English intervention activities.
• Support pupils with Phonics practice.
• Work with small groups of Year 5 students.
• Monitor and record pupil progress alongside the class teacher.
• Encourage confidence, independence and a positive learning environment.
• Assist the wider KS2 team as required.

Required profile

• Proactive and enthusiastic about working with children.
• Enjoys small‑group teaching and making measurable progress.
• Committed to supporting pupils’ academic development.
• Willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service if not already held.
