About the role
We are partnering with a mixed secondary school in Barking & Dagenham to recruit a full‑time Teaching Assistant starting in September 2026. The role focuses on providing one‑to‑one support for a Year 8 pupil who has a keen interest in sport, while also contributing to the wider classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to a Year 8 student with a strong interest in sport.
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Help manage student behaviour and act as a positive role model throughout the school.
- Support the student’s participation in sports‑related activities and projects.
Required profile
- Experience or interest in sports, preferably working with young people.
- Strong behaviour management abilities.
- Ability to build a supportive relationship with a Year 8 pupil.
- Commitment to start full‑time in September 2026.
