Team Lead – Technical Records (Aviation)

About the role

This senior position leads the Technical Records and Digital Asset Management function for a major airline group in the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving digital transformation, and overseeing the full lifecycle of aircraft assets while managing a high‑performing multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction for technical records, compliance, digitalisation and asset management services.
• Lead a team that handles records quality reviews, end‑of‑lease transitions, digital migration and asset lifecycle activities.
• Allocate resources, monitor project progress and guarantee timely delivery of services that meet customer and regulator expectations.
• Collaborate with product, innovation, IT, operations and commercial teams to implement workflow automation and digital solutions.
• Act as the primary contact for airline customers, maintenance organisations and lessors on technical records and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to EASA, FAA and IATA regulations and produce performance reports on compliance and project delivery.
• Identify operational risks, develop mitigation strategies and promote continuous improvement across the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in aviation technical records, aircraft asset management or related technical services.
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams and managing complex aviation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to work with internal stakeholders and external airline customers.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of EASA, FAA and IATA regulatory requirements.
• Experience with digital records migration and asset lifecycle management.
• Strong project management and resource planning capabilities.
