Team Leader - Children's Homes

About the role
The Team Leader will support young people living in Witherslack Group’s children’s homes, helping them rebuild their childhoods and develop into well‑rounded adults. You will ensure day‑to‑day operations run smoothly while providing a stable, caring environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the daily care and activities of young people, responding to both high and low moments.
- Support and develop the staff team, maintaining high standards of care.
- Step in to deputise for the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager as required.
- Promote a safe, nurturing environment that meets social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Monitor attendance, health, and wellbeing of residents and staff.
Required profile
- Compassionate and emotionally resilient with a genuine interest in youth care.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and support colleagues.
- Willingness to work occasional night‑ins (up to three per month).

What we offer
- Base salary between £39,680 and £46,944 per year.
- Sleep‑in allowance (£80 per night) and attendance bonus up to £1,400.
