Team Leader - Children's Homes

About the role

As a Team Leader in our Children’s Homes you will support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs on a daily basis. You will ensure the home runs smoothly, provide leadership to staff and step in for the Registered or Deputy Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day care activities and maintain high standards of safety and wellbeing.
• Support and develop the care staff, acting as a mentor and point of contact.
• Build positive relationships with young people, encouraging their personal growth and resilience.
• Assist the Registered and Deputy Managers with operational duties and act as deputy when needed.
• Monitor attendance, health, and progress of each resident and report to senior management.

Required profile

• Compassionate and emotionally resilient with a genuine desire to help vulnerable youth.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with young people and staff.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional sleep‑ins.

What we offer

• Base salary between £39,680 and £46,944 per year.
• Attendance allowance up to £1,400 and paid sleep‑ins (£80 each, up to 3 per month).
