Team Leader – Children’s Immunisation Service

About the role

The NHS Tayside Children’s Immunisation Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead a nurse‑led team delivering safe and effective childhood vaccination programmes across Tayside. Based in Dundee, the role involves operational management, staff motivation and collaboration with Public Health and Child Health departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for the immunisation team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Coordinate with Public Health and Child Health to support the National Vaccination Transformation Programme.
• Monitor and improve service performance, implementing quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage travel and service coverage across the Tayside region.
• Oversee staff development, induction and ongoing professional training.

Required profile

• Current UK NMC registration (Sub‑part 1 – RN or Sub‑part 2 – RN2).
• Demonstrated experience in leading or coordinating clinical teams.
• Proactive, solution‑focused approach with ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and person‑centred care.
