About the role

As a Team Leader (Express) you will oversee a specific area of an Asda Express store, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering excellent customer service. This part‑time, permanent role works primarily in the afternoons and offers the chance to develop leadership skills in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to meet store targets and maintain high standards.
• Manage stock replenishment, checkout lanes, grocery or fresh‑food sections as required.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, tidy and presented to Asda’s visual standards.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Use store data and insights to make informed decisions about staffing and merchandising.

• Proven ability to lead and coach a team in a busy retail setting.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work across different store formats and adapt to changing priorities.
• Comfort with using data to drive decisions.
