Team Leader – Learning Disabilities Supported Housing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee our learning disabilities supported housing schemes and domiciliary services in Blackpool. You will drive person‑centred support, ensuring individuals maintain independence and wellbeing while fostering personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach and manage performance of staff, volunteers and students.
• Coordinate staff deployment to match individual needs within resource limits.
• Identify mandatory and service‑specific training needs and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to referrals, conduct initial assessments and ensure co‑produced support plans with designated Key Workers.
• Organise regular person‑centred reviews and set clear pathways toward greater independence.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and community agencies to deliver holistic, wrap‑around support.
• Maintain high standards of environmental safety, quality and inclusivity.
• Implement quality monitoring, KPI reporting and risk management communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading teams within supported housing or social care settings.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make person‑centred decisions.

Required skills

• Experience with performance management and staff supervision.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management procedures.
• Familiarity with person‑centred planning and co‑production of support plans.
