Team Leader – Mental Health Support Services

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Team Leader to join Turning Point’s Complex Needs Service in Welwyn Garden City. You will lead a team of Recovery Workers who provide person‑centred support to adults with mental health, wellbeing and social challenges, helping them regain independence and confidence in their communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line management, supervision and appraisal for a team of Recovery Workers.
• Coordinate triage processes and work closely with senior staff to ensure quality and risk management.
• Embed Turning Point’s vision, values and person‑centred approach within the team.
• Collaborate with local partners, housing teams, health services and other stakeholders to enhance service effectiveness.
• Support service development alongside the Operations Manager and other managers to meet outcome and quality targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading and supporting a team in a health or social care setting.
• Experience delivering supervision, appraisal and performance management.
• Strong understanding of mental health, complex needs and recovery‑focused support.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team and with external partners.
