Team Manager – Integrated Front Door Service

About the role

The Integrated Front Door service at Suffolk County Council needs a hands‑on Team Manager to lead a busy multi‑agency team. You will be present in the office five days a week, guiding decisions that affect children and families at the earliest point of contact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing Front Door team.
• Ensure timely, safe and effective safeguarding decisions.
• Oversee contacts, referrals and threshold management.
• Support practitioners in delivering strengths‑based, child‑focused practice.
• Embed robust safeguarding and risk‑management processes.
• Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Build strong partnerships across the multi‑agency network.
• Foster a culture of learning, accountability and professional curiosity.

Required profile

• Experienced manager with visible, confident leadership style.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with multi‑agency teams.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child‑focused outcomes.
• Willingness to work on‑site full‑time and be accessible to staff daily.
