Team Manager - Primary Education Recruitment

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Team Manager to lead our Primary Education desk in Leeds while continuing to run your own successful billing desk. This temporary leadership opportunity arises while the current Director is on maternity leave, offering you the chance to shape a high‑performing team and maintain strong revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a small, ambitious recruitment team.
• Maintain personal billing performance on a high‑volume desk (130‑140 days).
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with primary schools and academy trusts.
• Identify growth opportunities and expand partnership pipelines.
• Ensure compliance and safeguarding standards are met.
• Foster a positive, high‑energy team culture.

Required profile

• Proven leadership or team‑management experience, or clear readiness to step up.
• Strong track record of meeting performance targets or service delivery goals.
• Experience building relationships in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment.
• Proactive, commercially aware mindset with a passion for developing others.
• Background in recruitment (education preferred) or related sectors such as social care, nursing or allied health.
