Tech Lead - Enterprise Data

About the role

FDM Group is seeking a Tech Lead to drive the Business Banking data consumption workstream within a major Enterprise Data Platform transformation for a leading UK bank. The role is a 12‑month contract based in Manchester (Radbroke) with a hybrid working pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Business Banking data consumption workstream across the Enterprise Data Platform programme.
• Own technical solution design and delivery in a modern data platform environment.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, perform gap analysis and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure alignment with Data Management Controls and enterprise data standards.
• Manage complex dependencies across multiple workstreams, on‑shore and off‑shore delivery teams.
• Present progress, risks and decisions to steering committees, governance forums and senior stakeholders.
• Support AI‑led development approaches and modern engineering practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Medallion Architecture solutions on modern data platforms.
• Strong track record leading large‑scale data platform migration or modernisation programmes.
• Experience applying Data Management Control standards to solution design.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies across enterprise programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and governance experience.
