Technical Administrator – Calibration & Maintenance (SAP)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Administrator to join the Calibration & Maintenance team at a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer in Bolton. The role focuses on coordinating calibration, servicing and maintenance of critical production and test equipment, using SAP to ensure all activities are tracked and completed on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage external calibration, servicing and repair activities with approved suppliers.
• Use SAP daily to coordinate maintenance and calibration workflows, update records and support equipment management.
• Raise and manage purchase requisitions and service orders through SAP.
• Review technical calibration certificates and engineering reports for compliance.
• Schedule preventative maintenance for production and test equipment.
• Assist the Control Team Lead with calibration planning and critical spares management.
• Coordinate deployment of critical spare parts packages to minimise downtime.
• Produce, maintain and review technical and maintenance documentation.
• Act as the primary SAP‑related point of contact within the department.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance tracking and calibration processes.

Required profile

• HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong working experience with SAP in an engineering, manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Previous experience supporting calibration, maintenance, engineering or technical administration activities.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical measurement techniques is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
