Technical Business Analyst – Hybrid (London/Edinburgh)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a collaborative delivery team supporting a leading banking client. Working in a fast‑paced financial services environment, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly translated into actionable deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, analyse and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate needs into high‑quality user stories, use cases and functional specifications.
• Support delivery squads by clarifying user stories, acceptance criteria and business requirements.
• Identify data gaps and work with technical teams to define solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement‑gathering sessions.
• Maintain traceability of requirements and align them with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA and Solution Architects throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Assist with backlog refinement, prioritisation and sprint planning.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and ensure solutions meet expectations.
• Produce clear documentation, including process flows and business rules.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong ability to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience identifying data gaps and analysing data requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Familiarity with system integration and software delivery lifecycles.
