Technical Conveyancer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Conveyancer to join our residential conveyancing team in Leeds. The successful candidate will provide expert legal and technical support, ensuring complex property transactions are handled efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical legal support across a broad range of residential conveyancing matters.
• Advise colleagues on complex freehold, leasehold, new‑build, shared‑ownership and unregistered title transactions.
• Carry out technical title checks and manage deeds of variation and lease extensions.
• Act on behalf of lenders in equity‑release purchases and repossession sales.
• Liaise with Team Managers to progress urgent or technically challenging files.
• Audit completed files and deliver constructive feedback to conveyancers.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and technical quality.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for complex legal queries within the team.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in residential conveyancing.
• At least three years handling freehold, leasehold, new‑build, shared‑ownership and unregistered title matters from instruction to completion.
• Qualified Solicitor (3+ PQE), Licensed Conveyancer (CLC) or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) – desirable.
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities with a focus on practical solutions.
