Technical Lead, Machine Learning

About the role

We are partnering with a heavily funded AI venture to build a next‑generation intelligent assistant that can manage conversations, workflows, tasks and real‑world actions with minimal prompting. As Technical Lead, Machine Learning you will define the core ML architecture and shape how the product reasons, remembers, plans and executes tasks for millions of future users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the machine‑learning infrastructure powering the entire product.
• Build end‑to‑end training pipelines, evaluation and benchmarking frameworks.
• Develop production inference architecture, monitoring, observability and performance systems.
• Deploy, scale and optimise large language models, including fine‑tuning with LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, DPO and distillation.
• Improve model reliability, reasoning capabilities and real‑world task execution.
• Engineer low‑latency inference, GPU optimisation and cost‑performance efficiency.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in machine‑learning engineering and architecture.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy and influence product direction.
• Track record of building systems from first principles without legacy constraints.
• Passion for solving hard AI challenges such as memory, reasoning and reliability.
