Technical Manager – Building Structures

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead a team of five structural engineers in Central London. You will oversee a diverse portfolio that includes data centres, power distribution, renewable energy projects, and both commercial and residential buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and allocate work for a team of structural engineers.
• Provide technical guidance and review completed designs.
• Maintain close contact with clients during advisory and conceptual stages.
• Participate in project selection and recruitment of new staff.
• Support business growth and contribute to the firm’s long‑term strategy.

Required profile

• Chartered structural engineer (IStructE, ICE or IEI).
• Currently at senior engineer or project engineer level or higher.
• Proven experience in consulting engineering, designing and delivering building superstructures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff and work closely with clients.
