Technical Manager – Metallurgical (Casting)

About the role

Join a market‑leading investment casting company that supplies the aerospace and defence sectors. As Technical Manager you will sit on the senior leadership team, overseeing all technical and production activities across the Altrincham site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the investment casting site, including wax, shell and foundry processes.
• Control tooling design, procurement and implementation for new or modified products.
• Provide technical support to all departments and champion new‑product implementation.
• Manage the NPI (New Product Introduction) process through effective project management.
• Ensure timely decision‑making and intervene when necessary to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar role within a metallurgical environment.
• Strong background in investment casting and tooling development.
• Experience working for aerospace or defence supply chains.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
