About the role
Glevum Security is entering a major growth phase and needs a Technical Operations Director to own the performance of its security technology across all sites. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will bridge strategic decisions with day‑to‑day operational control of CCTV, alarm monitoring and technical governance.
Key responsibilities
- Full ownership of technical operations across the Glevum Group, ensuring all CCTV installations are correctly configured and monitored.
- Lead technical fault escalation, incident response and post‑incident reviews.
- Define and maintain the group’s technology roadmap and future platform strategy.
- Set and enforce ARC performance standards (response times, accuracy, false‑alarm rates) and manage the 24/7 escalation structure.
- Work with the ARC Manager on staffing, shift design and coverage.
- Drive ISO 9001 programme and achieve/maintain NSI Gold certification.
- Develop and maintain a compliance framework that operates continuously, not just as a project.
- Oversee technical and ARC staffing structures, set competency standards and own training pathways.
- Manage relationships with technology suppliers, monitoring platform partners and subcontractors, setting technical standards for each.
- Own the technical operations budget and report performance, incident trends and compliance status to the CEO and SLT.
- Ensure all technical work complies with health & safety standards and conduct risk assessments for field activities.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in security‑technology operations or a similar technical environment.
- Deep understanding of CCTV systems, alarm receiving centre (ARC) operations and incident management.
- Track record of establishing technical governance, standards and compliance frameworks.
- Experience delivering ISO 9001 programmes and maintaining NSI Gold or equivalent certifications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with vendors, partners and internal senior leadership.
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational processes and KPIs.
