Technical Operator – Day Shift (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Operator to join a high‑performing manufacturing team on the shop floor in Petersfield. The role is day‑shift only (Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑3 pm) and offers a stable 40‑hour week at £14.58 per hour. You will support assembly equipment, resolve breakdowns and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out machine changeovers efficiently and in line with procedures.
• Act as first responder to equipment breakdowns and communicate issues promptly.
• Monitor equipment performance, make adjustments and optimise output.
• Support lean manufacturing, root‑cause analysis and other continuous‑improvement activities.
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with GMP, safety and QA standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and asset‑care tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA and wider production teams.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or technical operations is desirable.
• Ability to handle manual loads up to 20 kg and focus on safety.
