Technical Paraplanner

About the role

Our client is a newly established national Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) group, backed by leading investment partners, with an ambitious vision to become one of the UK’s leading financial planning businesses. Following rapid growth and recent acquisitions, the Paraplanner team is expanding and they are looking for an experienced, technically strong Paraplanner to join at this exciting stage.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake detailed research, analysis and formulation of financial advice recommendations to support advisers.
• Prepare accurate, compliant suitability reports and advice letters for clients.
• Provide technical support across investments, pensions, inheritance tax planning, tax‑efficient investments, trusts and protection.
• Work closely with advisers, administrators, compliance teams and fellow Paraplanners to ensure excellent client outcomes.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and assist with complex financial planning cases.
• Contribute to the development of paraplanning processes, procedures and best practices.

Required profile

• Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) qualified or nearing completion.
• Previous experience as a Paraplanner or strong financial planning experience with a desire to move into paraplanning.
• Experience within an IFA, wealth management or financial planning environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning and protection products.
• Ability to produce detailed, compliant suitability reports and work to FCA standards.
