Technical Platform & Infrastructure Lead

About the role

The client, a consulting and professional services firm, is looking for a Technical Platform & Infrastructure Lead to design and deliver scalable technical environments that support AI‑driven learning experiences. This is an initial contract role reporting to the programme leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain hosted sandbox environments, including cloud‑based infrastructure, virtual machines, containers and pre‑configured developer setups.
• Define the platform and tooling strategy for LMS/LXP integrations, authentication mechanisms, code execution environments and analytics tracking.
• Drive automation, AI‑assisted workflows and scalable operational tooling for content engines.
• Assess technical feasibility, covering scalability, security, cost constraints and ongoing maintenance.

Required profile

• Strong background in infrastructure or platform engineering with a proven record of building scalable developer environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud systems, APIs, containers and modern AI tooling ecosystems.
• Ability to balance speed, cost, scalability and reliability when making technical decisions.
• Systems‑thinking mindset, collaborative approach and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
