Technical Programme Manager (S/4HANA)

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Technical Programme Manager to lead a high‑profile S/4HANA transformation for a major retail client. The role is based in Central London with a hybrid working model and offers the chance to drive end‑to‑end delivery of a complex ERP programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a large‑scale S/4HANA transformation across multiple work streams.
• Establish programme governance, reporting frameworks and effective ways of working.
• Coordinate technical and business teams to keep delivery aligned, integrated and on track.
• Manage dependencies, proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
• Oversee business readiness activities and ensure stakeholder preparedness.
• Own cut‑over planning and execution to achieve a smooth go‑live.
• Provide transparent updates to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Champion quality standards and align delivery with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA implementations within an enterprise organisation.
• Strong programme management expertise, including governance, risk management and delivery frameworks.
• Experience managing multiple technical and business workstreams in complex environments.
• Outstanding stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Commercial awareness of how technology programmes deliver business value.
• Analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confident leader who can build alignment and drive outcomes without direct authority.
