Technical Sales Engineer – Transmissions

About the role

Join a market‑leading automotive and robotics company as a Technical Sales Engineer specialising in transmissions. You will work autonomously, providing specialist sales solutions to a broad client base across the South East, with a split focus on managing existing accounts and driving new business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing accounts (approximately 60% of time), delivering technical product advice and upselling where appropriate.
• Develop new business opportunities (approximately 40% of time) and generate qualified leads.
• Provide technical sales support and quantify leads for OEM customers.
• Collaborate with the sales team and cross‑functional departments on project‑based activities.
• Work remotely with occasional regional travel and office visits; a company vehicle is provided.

Required profile

• Experience as a Technical Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
• Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to Tamworth and the surrounding region.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of transmission systems and automotive engineering.
• Experience with OEM sales processes.
• Strong account management and business development capabilities.
