Technical Sales Manager – Pallet Racking Solutions

About the role

The Technical Sales Manager will lead the sales cycle for pallet racking and warehouse storage solutions across the UK, from the first enquiry to project hand‑over. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to generate new business, nurture client relationships and ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage new and existing customer accounts throughout the UK.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess requirements and recommend suitable storage solutions.
• Produce accurate quotations, costings and commercial proposals.
• Create technical drawings and layout plans using AutoCAD.
• Oversee projects from enquiry through to completion and hand‑over, coordinating with installation teams and subcontractors.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify opportunities for additional works and repeat business.
• Negotiate commercial terms and secure profitable contracts.
• Maintain sales records, forecasts and project documentation.
• Represent the business professionally at meetings and site visits.
• Support business growth through proactive development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in pallet racking, warehouse storage, shelving or materials handling industry.
• Strong technical sales background with proven ability to manage projects from enquiry to completion.
• Experience conducting site surveys and customer consultations.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
