Technical Sales Representative – Platform Lifts

About the role

This position is focused on selling a range of commercial and residential lift solutions, including platform, home, cabin and goods lifts. You will work from the Colchester office and travel across the UK, with a particular emphasis on the South East and Central regions.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell platform lift products to lift companies, installers, facilities managers and end‑users such as universities and colleges.
• Handle inbound enquiries, provide product guidance and solution‑based selling.
• Prepare accurate quotes based on site‑specific requirements.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate lift solutions.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business.
• Provide technical advice and support throughout the sales process.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience within the construction sector.
• Technical background involving measurements and surveying is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Highly organised, motivated and a strong team player.

• Ability to produce detailed technical quotations.
• Site assessment and surveying competence.

What we offer

• Base salary £30,000‑£35,000 per year plus uncapped commission (~1% of sales).
