Technical Service Chemist

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Service Chemist to join a market‑leading materials manufacturer in Cheshire East. The role combines laboratory testing with customer‑focused technical support, ensuring product performance and quality for coated products used across industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and coordinate technical service requests, delivering timely and high‑quality solutions.
• Conduct laboratory tests safely and accurately, following established procedures and standards.
• Record, analyse and communicate test data to internal teams and customers.
• Support production and customer trials, and assist with short‑term product development activities.
• Investigate quality issues, respond to customer enquiries and contribute to technical reports.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science or a related discipline.
• Recent proven industrial experience in laboratory testing, technical service, quality control or R&D.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in coatings, adhesives, paper or film manufacturing is desirable.
