Technical Services Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across Tonbridge & Malling. The role combines team leadership, budget responsibility and direct engagement with partners such as the Environment Agency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Technical Services team and associated budgets.
• Lead projects covering car parking, drainage, bridges, land management and related infrastructure.
• Advise on flood risk and collaborate with the Environment Agency and Kent County Council.
• Oversee winter maintenance, bridge inspections, CCTV operations and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
• Ensure delivery of safe, sustainable and high‑quality services for residents.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline or substantial equivalent experience.
• Proven project management capability, through recognised qualification or extensive practical delivery.
• Ability to develop leadership skills; managerial experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong problem‑solving and collaborative approach to deliver infrastructure services.
