Technical Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Supervisor to lead a team of trade operatives in the maintenance and repair of Riverside Group’s housing stock. The role involves coordinating schedules, ensuring health and safety compliance, and acting as the main point of contact between residents, contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a direct labour force of plumbers, carpenters and other tradespeople.
• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules for responsive repairs, damp & mould, voids and planned complex repairs.
• Ensure all on‑site activities comply with health and safety regulations and meet Riverside’s quality standards.
• Liaise with residents, contractors, the planning team and management to resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor contractor performance against service level agreements and report on progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising a trade workforce in a social housing or property management setting.
• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, carpentry) and experience in the associated workstreams.
• Good knowledge of building construction, maintenance procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Experience managing contractor performance and SLA compliance.
