Technical Support Advisor – Electrical Products

About the role

This position offers an entry‑level opportunity to develop a technical career within a leading distributor of surge and lightning protection products. You will work closely with the Technical Director, receiving full mentoring while supporting customers, contractors and wholesalers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice to customers, electrical contractors and wholesalers.
• Recommend appropriate surge and lightning protection solutions and applications.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director and participate in structured training programmes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations, standards and best‑practice installation methods.
• Operate from an office environment, handling enquiries and documentation.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification, apprenticeship or hands‑on electrical experience.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to become a technical specialist.
• Ability to commute to Oldham.

Required skills

• Surge protection knowledge.
• Lightning protection knowledge.
• Understanding of BS7671 compliance and electrical regulations.
