Technical Support Engineer – EMEA (UK based)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our EMEA team in Reading, UK. You will provide world‑class technical assistance for SOLiD Technologies, handling product configuration, system deployment, fault diagnosis and customer training across a range of telecommunications solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer support requests via email and a ticketing system.
• Assign, track and resolve technical cases, escalating when necessary.
• Provide first‑line remote and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Manage the EMEA support mailbox on a daily basis.
• Coordinate equipment RMA activities through SOLiD’s portal.
• Escalate complex issues to HQ technical support and R&D teams.
• Assist with remote and local hardware diagnostics.
• Prepare and deliver technical training sessions and live demonstrations.
• Support the design of system solutions, including schematics and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Strong interest in telecommunications, RF engineering and mobile network technologies.
• Willingness to learn and apply engineering principles in a customer‑facing environment.
• Ability to travel within the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and occasionally to the Middle East and Africa.

Required skills

• Understanding of RF principles and mobile telephony.
• Knowledge of radio access technologies and distributed antenna networks.
• Experience with structured cabling, optical fibre and antenna design.
• Familiarity with public safety communication systems.
