Technical Trainer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Technical Trainer will join the Sidcup Operations site, supporting a high‑volume beverage manufacturing environment. You will design, deliver and continuously improve technical training programmes that ensure engineers and production staff maintain the skills required to operate cutting‑edge equipment safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop site‑wide technical training plans in partnership with Learning & Development.
• Deliver classroom and on‑site training to technical groups of varying sizes and competencies.
• Coordinate OEM‑led training sessions, track competency, and close technical gaps.
• Audit and refresh training materials as new equipment or technologies are introduced.
• Promote a balanced learning culture that blends formal training, coaching and on‑the‑job experience.
• Maintain accurate training records, identify gaps and create action plans.
• Support engineering apprentices during college, on‑site, and up to three years post‑completion.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship qualified or holder of an engineering NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with OEM training programmes and following up on competency standards.
